Bob Catley was the lead vocalist of the long-running melodic hard rock group Magnum, who were often associated with the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. With the breaking up of Magnum in 1995, Bob started a solo project and also formed a new band called Hard Rain with Magnum guitarist Tony Clarkin, which he left in 1999.
