Patty Griffin is the tenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Patty Griffin. The album was released on March 8, 2019, and follows a four-year hiatus that Griffin took while battling breast cancer following her 2015 album Servant of Love, including briefly losing her voice.
A singer and songwriter whose literate, impressionistic storytelling and richly evocative melodies have made her one of the most respected artists in the contemporary folk community, Patty Griffin is also a superb vocalist who sings of the human heart and soul with a passion that's palpable but never histrionic.

Recorded in a kitchen in Nashville and in a room close to the emergency department of Boston City Hospital, complete with ambulance sirens in the background, Patty Griffin's first demo tape was scrappy and unpolished but enough to catch the ear of Jim Phelan, a talent scout for A&M Records.
