It was wonderful to see how the students [The Academy of Sound Engineering is also a college for training young audio engineers] reacted to our ways of recording live in the studio and to answer their questions.
Blue Weaver. British keyboards player, session musician, songwriter and producer (b. March 11th, 1947, Cardiff, Wales, UK). A founder member of Amen Corner and its successor Fair Weather, Weaver replaced Rick Wakeman in Strawbs when the latter left to join Yes. He left 'Strawbs' in 1973, and toured with Mott The Hoople in the US tour.
19 de feb. de 2019 · Blue Weaver emerged from Cardiff, Wales, to take the keyboard chair with the early British rockers The Strawbs when Rick Wakeman decamped for Yes. He never left. In 2019, Weaver plans to be part of The Strawbs 50th anniversary concert in New Jersey, along with Wakeman, Larry Fast, John Hawken, a 30-piece orchestra, and a 40-piece choir.
Blue Weaver has never recorded a solo album, or commanded the kind of fan legions that Keith Emerson or Rick Wakeman can boast of.
