Blaine Leslie Reininger (born July 10, 1953 in Pueblo, Colorado) is an American post-punk, new-wave and alternative pop singer, songwriter, musician, multi-instrumentalist (particularly violin), writer and performer.
As a cardinal of the European avant-garde and co-founder of TUXEDOMOON, Blaine L Reininger is both schooled and shrouded in mystery. He currently lives in Greece - ground zero for the continent's myths and a portal for all things Oriental. The influence can be seen on his new solo album 'The Blue Sleep'.

Born in Pueblo, Colorado, in 1953, Blaine L. Reininger was the first member of Tuxedomoon to record a solo album, with Broken Fingers appearing on Crépuscule in 1982. After leaving the band at the beginning of in 1983, Blaine collaborated with Sleepers guitarist and occasional TM member Michael Belfer on Night Air .
