Billy Murcia was born in Bogota, Colombia in 1951 and raised in Jackson Heights, New York. Ronald Sylvain Mizrahi was born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1951, to a Jewish family, but his family were forced to flee in 1959, first to Paris, France and finally in 1961 to Buffalo then Brooklyn-New York, United States.
