William Edgar Oddie OBE (born 7 July 1941) [2] is an English actor, artist, birder, comedian, conservationist, musician, songwriter, television presenter and writer. He was a member of comedy trio The Goodies .

They were filming for the documentary "Oddie in Paradise" and Bill had the idea of combining the two so that he didn't have to be away from his new wife. In 1985, their daughter Rosie was born. In an interview with Woman's Weekly, Bill explained why he was trepidous about having another child: "The truth is I was terrified, I could only recall the bad aspects - the sleepless nights and nappies.
