Bill Nighy. William Francis (Bill) Nighy ( Caterham ( Surrey ), 12 december 1949) is een Engels televisie- en filmacteur. Hij speelde onder andere in het tweede en derde deel van de Pirates of the Caribbean -reeks (als Davy Jones ), in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (als Rufus Schobbejak) en in Love Actually.
Bill Nighy commence sa carrière de comédien au théâtre. Il a presque trente ans quand il intègre une troupe itinérante. Se frottant au répertoire classique, il joue dans des pièces de Shakespeare, Tom Stoppard, Harold Pinter ou David Hare [2]. Il fait la connaissance de Judi Dench, avec laquelle il joue dans La Mouette de Tchekhov [1].
