Posts: 242. Bill Boatman has passed away. I received a call today from Marshall White from Ohio who told me Bill Boatman has passed away. As many of you know Bill was one of the founding fathers of the American Black and Tan Coonhound Association. He served as president 1948-1952.

Prior to printing his first catalog in 1955, Boatman owned a small grocery store in the Ohio farming town of Highland. While running the store, Boatman bought space ads in hunting magazines plugging hunting dog accessories he also was peddling.
