This soundtrack is killer. First of all, it was my second favorite movie after Pee-Wee's Big Adventure as a kid, so it had nostalgic meaning. But all that aside, the soundtrack is by Danny Elfman, so naturally it had kind of a spooky feel with a carnival twist. It's awesome. If you don't have it it your collection you need to get on it!

Danny Elfman’s work with Oingo Boingo always had a theatrical bent to it—in fact, the band had started out as a performance-art group that made a cult science-fiction movie (Forbidden Zone) before they ever recorded an album. So while Elfman feigned naiveté about the prospect of scoring 1985’s Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, he was a natural fit.
