Bernard Bresslaw (25 February 1934 – 11 June 1993) was a British actor and comedian. He was best known as a member of the Carry On film franchise. Bresslaw also worked on television and stage, did recordings and wrote a series of poetry.

Bernard Bresslaw (born in Stepney, London, on 25 February 1934) was a tall, RADA-trained comic actor who became a household name for his role as gormless Pte Arnold Popplewell in TV's The Army Game (ATV, 1957-61), with his plaintive 'I only arsked', the title of his 1957 film.
