It features advanced studio techniques, such as backward-played flute and piano, and a “harder, slightly darker” feel than its predecessor Stand Up. The album also includes a Collector's Edition with bonus tracks, rare versions, and a DVD.

Benefit is the third studio album of Jethro Tull. It was recorded at Morgan Studio in London between September 1969 and February 1970 – recording sessions interrupted by several tours (in US, UK and Europe). • Released in the US on 20/04/1970 and reached position n°11 in the charts.
