6 de jun. de 2019 · Beer Klaasse: Before I joined the band, they already existed and called themselves “The Klits”. On the first of January 1966 they asked Hugo Gordijn to become their manager and he decided that they need another name, because “The Klits” went to far according to Hugo.
4 de sept. de 2019 · This period also witnessed the departure of drum titan Beer Klaasse, his place taken by Martin Van Duynhoven, who arrived with Duba and Dolf Geldof, the latter replacing Ruud Van Buuren on bass – the three new 1850 recruits had all played in the group Burning Rain.
Finch was established by bass player Peter Vink (Vink meaning finch in Dutch) and drummer Beer Klaasse. Guitarist and composer Joop van Nimwegen, who had worked with Vink in the Dutch formation Q65, soon joined. For lack of a good singer, Finch decided to build a repertoire of instrumental rock.
The foundation of Dutch progrock band FINCH was laid by bass player Peter Vink and drummer Beer Klaasse (both ex-Q65 and The KJOE). They were eager to play progressive music: Peter was impressed by the symphonic rock of YES and BEER by the improvised rock of MAHAVISHNU ORCHESTRA and CREAM.

Zaterdag 13 november treedt Group 1850 in de 2021 samenstelling op met twee oudgedienden topdrummers Beer Klaasse en Dave Duba. Dit in het kader van Beat aan Zee bij Popagenda Scheveningen.
