In 2016, a version of ABC without Mark White released Lexicon of Love II , a follow up to their debut album, which entered the charts at number 5, the band’s highest chart position for over 26 years.

11 de nov. de 2023 · When Beauty Stab was released in November 1983 on the Neutron and Mercury labels respectively, its reviews were decidedly mixed to negative; among fans, a similar stance was taken up, though there was the thrilled minority cheering ABC on for bravely pushing their music forward. But, the overall indifference (and disappointment) in ABC’s shift away from the lushness of The Lexicon of Love ...
Beauty Stab existed as something audacious just like it's predecessor. A bold statement- but for different reasons. Whereas Lexicon was all glossy production and this is a rawer ABC, with a political slant but ultimately retaining a sense of musically brashness,instant hooks and multitudes of Fry's clever couplets, albeit with more spite.
