We can safely assume that if a man is willing to attacking you in the woods, he's motivated by something a lot more nefarious. Likelihood to survive the attack - bear attacks are actually survivable. In 2022, there were 26 in Canada, and only 4 resulted in death.
It implies that a woman lost in the woods would be safer with a bear than a man. They probably would. Scream and bear will run. Some dude in the woods though…I dunno what he’s up to. If I'm in the woods alone and I see anyone else male or female I'm running.

Bears are predictable, the things they want from you are pretty much limited to “get out of my territory” or “get away from my child” or “get in my belly”, and human men have a long, long, long list of things in addition to the above that they will injure or brutalise or kill you for.
