Baoding (léase Báo-Ding; en chino, 保定; pinyin, Bǎodìng) es una ciudad-prefectura en el suroeste de la provincia de Hebei, República Popular China. Se sitúa al sur de Pekín y es conocida como la Puerta del Sur y Ciudad Satélite de Pekín con una importancia estratégica. [2]
Baoding is located in the west-central portion of Hebei province and lies on the North China Plain, with the Taihang Mountains to the west. Bordering prefecture-level cities in the province are Zhangjiakou to the north, Langfang and Cangzhou to the east, and Shijiazhuang and Hengshui to the south.
