After releasing Straight Shooter and Passin' Thru in 1972, Troiano left James Gang in August 1973. He was replaced immediately by Tommy Bolin, who debuted quickly on the band's next album Bang. After releasing the follow-up Miami in the summer of 1974, Kenner left the group that September to return to his native Toronto.

14 de ene. de 2018 · These were done at the Beach Boys’ studio and Bolin ended up doing the vocals himself on the advice of some of the Boys, who helped with suggestions on technique, etc. It was these demos, done with the aid of various friends from his Zephyr and Energy days, which Nemporer Records hears, offering Bolin a contract at once.
