In 1984, just prior to the release of The Pandoras' first LP, band members Bambi Conway, Gwynne Kahn, and Casey Gomez split from singer/songwriter Paula Pierce and formed their own version of the band with guitarist Lisa Black, with both Pierce and her former band mates claiming the Pandoras name.
