Professor Carol E Harrison (Balliol 1990) is the co-author – with Professor Thomas J Brown of the University of South Carolina – of a new book, Zouave Theaters: Transnational Military Fashion and Performance, published by LSU Press in April 2024.

Hace 4 días · The oldest colleges are University College, Balliol, and Merton, established between 1249 and 1264, although there is some dispute over the exact order and precisely when each began teaching. The fourth oldest college is Exeter, founded in 1314, and the fifth is Oriel, founded in 1326.

Hace 2 días · Between 1865 and 1867, Brackenbury donated money to Balliol College at Oxford University to fund scholarships in history and natural sciences and to enable the construction of new buildings. The Brackenbury Scholarship at Balliol is funded to this day from her bequest and some of the buildings are named after the family.
