Chet Baker / Wolfgang Lackerschmid is an album by trumpeter Chet Baker and vibraphonist Wolfgang Lackerschmid with guitarist Larry Coryell, bassist Buster Williams and drummer Tony Williams which was recorded in 1979 and first released on the Lackerschmid's Sandra Music Productions label.

When the two met at a festival, Lackerschmid suggested Baker to record a duo album. Enthusiastic about the idea, the two found themselves in the studio in Stuttgart a few months later and recorded the LP Ballads for Two, followed by Chet Baker/Wolfgang Lackerschmid, with Larry Coryell, Buster Williams and Tony Williams.
7 de sept. de 2020 · More intriguing than new age, more adventurous than “smooth jazz,” yet less experimental than the out-there fringes of free jazz, Ballads for Two is simply a delight. The pieces all but force the listener to stop whatever he or she is doing and just sit quietly with the music.
