I absolutely love the song, but drummer Mick Pointer totally lets the side down on the recording. The best version IMO is on the Early Stages box set from the Reading Festival ‘83. Marillion had sacked Pointer, and Andy Ward from Camel was behind the kit. They were second on the bill to Black Sabbath on the Saturday, and opened with Grendel.
