Aya Iwata is a Japanese silver smith working with the technique of cloisonne and glass casting. She was born in Tokyo to parents who were artists and educators, and was exposed to diverse materials for artistic creation from a young age.

岩田 彩 Aya Iwata. 桐朋学園大学音楽部演奏科卒業。 特待生奨学金を得て、ニューヨーク・マネス音楽院大学院に留学、修士課程修了。 同音楽院ディプロマ修了。 ニューヨーク・インターナショナル・キーボード・フェスティバル、ベル・エポック・フェスティバル、ザ・レイト・ロマンティック・フェスティバル、スタインウェイ・ホール、 ベートーヴェン・インスティテュート、アリスタリーホール、ミラーシアターほかでソロ、室内楽、オーケストラのコンサートに出演。 ガンルー・ゲ作曲のピアノカルテット "北京オペラ" のニューヨーク初演を行う。 バロック・ミュージック・コンサートでの演奏が "The New York Times" 紙に掲載され好評を博す。
