AVERAGE WHITE BAND DATES CANCELLED: September 16, 2021. As the Netherlands Government has now placed US Citizens on a 'Very High Risk' footing, five members of the band cannot enter the country without ten days mandatory quarantine, which is impossible for a touring group. Sadly the dates there and in Belgium in November will have to be cancelled.
Eric Clapton and Bonnie Bramlett (of Delaney & Bonnie) helped them on their way to becoming a household name, but it wasn't until they reached the US and were signed to Atlantic Records that the Average White Band really took off.

The band consists of Cliff Lyons on alto sax, keyboards, and vocals, Rob Aries on keyboard and bass, Onnie McIntrye on guitar and vocals, Brent Carter on lead vocals, Alan Gorrie on lead vocals, bass, and guitar, Rocky Bryant on drums, and Fred "Freddy V" Vigdor on tenor sax, keyboards, and vocals.
