Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) is a not-for-profit national youth theatre company located in Woolloomooloo, New South Wales, Australia. It was founded in 1963 by Eleanor Witcombe.
ATYP On Demand is a platform that allows students and teachers across Australia to access live theatre experiences from the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) for free. The platform offers award-winning productions and educational resources for students of different ages and learning needs, as well as links to the national curriculum.
Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) is the national youth theatre company of Australia. We exist to connect young people with the professional theatre industry locally, regionally and nationally. It’s the principle on which the company was founded in 1963. It’s what drives us today.
We seek out the best new work from around the world and commission and develop new productions that speak specifically to young Australians.
