Continuing with our Top 10 Atlanta Rhythm Section songs list we turn to the band’s sixth album of their career entitled Underdog. The song “Do It Or Die,” was released as the first single from the record. It’s a nice mid tempo tune that fit in perfectly with the adult contemporary market in which it was a top 20 hit in 1979.

1970-1972 - ARS is Formed and Starts Recording. The story of the Atlanta Rhythm Section began in Doraville, GA, a small town northeast of Atlanta, in 1970. Local Atlanta engineer Rodney Mills built a new studio in Doraville with the support of music publisher Bill Lowery, producer/songwriter/manager Buddy Buie, and songwriter/guitarist J.R. Cobb.
