The Bad Ends. The Power and The Glory. Athens, GA occupies a curious corner of American history. Living up to the nickname of “The Classic City,” it harbors all kinds of heritage, dating back to 1801 (with enough of its own Southern Gothic flavor to fill a William Faulkner novel).
William Thomas Berry (born July 31, 1958) is an American musician who was the drummer for the alternative rock band R.E.M. Although best known for his economical drumming style, Berry also played other instruments, including guitar, bass guitar and piano, both for songwriting and on R.E.M. albums.
R.E.M. was an American alternative rock band from Athens, Georgia, formed in 1980 by drummer Bill Berry, guitarist Peter Buck, bassist Mike Mills, and lead vocalist Michael Stipe, who were students at the University of Georgia.

5 de ene. de 2023 · The Bad Ends, a new band from Athens, GA, featuring former R.E.M. drummer Bill Berry, will be coming out with their debut, The Power and the Glory, on January 20th via New West Records. The album was produced in Athens by Mike Albanese of Maserati and indeed does the group’s historic hometown proud.
