1 de may. de 2024 · The story behind “Baby’s In Black” is a complex one, but it centers around two women who had a significant impact on the lives of John Lennon and Paul McCartney. The first is Astrid Kirchherr, a German photographer who befriended the band during their time in Hamburg, Germany.

3 de may. de 2024 · Several images by other photographers, including Harry Benson and Astrid Kirchherr, are also included in the exhibition. The photos that McCartney took in 1963 and 1964 with the Pentax camera were thought to be lost. Nearly 1000 images on contact sheets from 1963-64 were discovered in McCartney’s archive in 2020.
25 de abr. de 2024 · There are three images by other photographers in the exhibition, two by Paul's brother Mike, who has worked as a photographer, and one by Astrid Kirchherr. All three are significantly better, technically, than almost all of Paul’s images. The Kirchherr image is a publicity shot of the group which was used in marketing material for the Paris tour.
