  2. Arthur Tanner (brother of Gid) played banjo and guitar. Riley Puckett recorded solo for Victor and Decca in the 1930s and early 1940s. He also belonged to a trio called Bert Layne and his Mountaineers.

  4. 23 de mar. de 2009 · Arthur Tanner was the brother of Gid Tanner. The Corn Shuckers were actually Columbia records session players, including members of his brother's band, The Skillet Lickers. The song is a rather lurid murder ballad, a confession sung in the first person.
