12 de oct. de 2016 · Arches is the seventh album by the Flemish actress, pianist and singer An Pierlé, recorded live at the St. Jacobskerk in Ghent, which makes sense, because the organ plays an important part in the compositions on this album (and you can not take a church organ to the studio, can you?).
An Pierlé (born An Miel Mia Pierlé on 13 December 1974) is a Belgian pianist and singer-songwriter. [1] Career. She studied classical piano and enrolled at the age of 17 at the art school Studio Herman Teirlinck [ nl] in Antwerp. In her third year there she made a solo programme with songs of her own, alone at the piano.
Released in. 2017. on. 9000 Records. In wake of the release of An Pierlé’s new album ‘Cluster’, 9000 Records (by Consouling Sounds) is also reissuing the previous album ‘Arches’. ‘Arches’ is the first album of the diptych that is concluded with ‘Cluster’. The album marked a shift in Pierlé’s sound to the dark, focusing on the church organ.
