Annie Freud speaking at the Biblioteca Central in Porto Alegre, 2011. Annie Freud (born 1948) is an English poet and artist. She is the eldest child of the artist Lucian Freud, and his first wife Kitty Garman. Earlier in her career, she was a civil servant.
Biography. Annie Freud was born in London in 1948. She is the daughter of painter Lucian Freud, maternal grand-daughter of sculptor Sir Jacob Epstein, and the great grand daughter of Sigmund Freud.
Annie Freud is a poet, artist, editor and teacher who has published three collections of poetry and won several awards. She is also known for her live performances of her father Lucian Freud's poems and her curation of a portrait gallery exhibition of his favourite poems.

Annie Freud is a writer, teacher and embroiderer. She grew up in London and graduated in English and European Literature from the University of Warwick. In 2006 she published A Voids Officer Achieves the Tree Pose, a poetry pamphlet with Donut Press.
