Anna Burns FRSL (born 7 March 1962) is an author from Northern Ireland. Her novel Milkman won the 2018 Booker Prize, the 2019 Orwell Prize for political fiction, and the 2020 International Dublin Literary Award.
La autora Anna Burns nació en Belfast, Irlanda del Norte, en 1962 y en 1987 se trasladó a Londres. Desde 2014 vive en East Sussex, en la costa sur de Inglaterra. La primera novela de Burns fue No Bones, donde relata la vida de una niña que creció en Belfast durante el conflicto norirlandés.

Milkman is a historical psychological fiction novel written by the Northern Irish author Anna Burns. Set during the Troubles in Northern Ireland, the story follows an 18-year-old girl, "middle sister," who is harassed by an older married man known as "the milkman" and then as "Milkman".
