Andrew Latimer (born 17 May 1949) is an English musician and composer. He is a founding member of the progressive rock band Camel and the only member who has been with them since their formation in 1971. Although he is best known as a guitarist and singer, Latimer is also a flautist and keyboardist.

15 de abr. de 2023 · UK prog legends Camel have provided an update on the health of mainman Andy Latimer. Last month the band announced they'd been forced to cancel their tour dates for 2023, because guitarist and singer Latimer required urgent back surgery. In a new statement on the band's website the band offered a positive update.
Led by guitarist Andrew Latimer, they have released fourteen studio albums and fourteen singles, plus numerous live albums and DVDs. Without achieving mass popularity, the band gained a cult following in the 1970s with albums such as Mirage (1974) and The Snow Goose (1975).

29 de feb. de 2024 · Having battled potentially life-threatening diseases for the best part of 20 years, most Camel fans thought their hopes of seeing the band live again were over. However, with health returned, guitarist Andy Latimer resurrected the group in 2013, when he told Prog about his revamp of The Snow Goose for their upcoming live shows.
