In July 2010, the Darling Buds with only Andrea Lewis Jarvis from the original line-up, reformed for a one-off tribute concert in their native Newport in memory of John Sicolo, the owner of the music venue TJ's who died earlier in the year.

Singer Andrea Lewis, guitarist and fellow songwriter Geraint Farr (aka Harley), and bassist Simon (just Simon) formed the Darling Buds in Newport, Wales. Taking their name from the H.E. Bates novella The Darling Buds of May, the trio started with a drum machine in 1986.
[Andrea’s husband Jamie Jarvis] was the year above me. Jamie had a part in EastEnders and I had a job and we were back and forth, doing the M4 corridor thing. He played Troy, Irene’s toy boy.
7 de mar. de 2019 · The Darling Buds formed in Caerleon near Newport, South Wales, in 1986 by 19-year-old Andrea Lewis Jarvis. Their debut single, “If I Said”, was released on February 1987 and was well received. The group re-released the single on an established label, Native Records, receiving radio play on John Peel’s BBC Radio 1 show.
