11 de oct. de 2010 · There have been a number of Syd Barrett compilations but, remarkably, 2010’s An Introduction to Syd Barrett is the first to combine Pink Floyd material with his solo recordings, so it truly provides an introduction in a way no previous collection has.

Barrett was their original frontman and primary songwriter, becoming known for his whimsical style of psychedelia, [1] English-accented singing, and stream-of-consciousness writing style. [4]
8 de ago. de 2010 · An excellent introduction to Syd Barrett from his Pink Floyd days to the solo albums. It includes the obigatory Arnold Layne, See Emily Play and Apples and Oranges, which for a while was a rare track. Chapter 24, Mother Matilda and Bike complete the Floyd tracks.
