5 de abr. de 2017 · Noted golf writer Herbert Warren Wind coined the phrase “Amen Corner” in 1958 to describe the 11th, 12th and 13th holes at Augusta National Golf Club. Wind came up with the term to describe the critical action that occurred on those holes as Arnold Palmer sweated out a rules question in the final round that year to win his first Masters Tournament.

Amen Corner were a Welsh rock group formed in Cardiff, Wales. They are best known for their hits " Bend Me, Shape Me " (1967), "High in the Sky" (1968) and the chart-topper " (If Paradise Is) Half as Nice " (1969).
Amen Corner — the par-4 11th hole, the par-3 12th and the par-5 13th — remains as pivotal in 2023 as it was more than a half-century ago, when Crenshaw first navigated the three-hole stretch en route to becoming the Low Amateur in 1972.
