Founded in 1815, Allegheny is the oldest college in continuous existence under the same name west of the Allegheny Mountains. It is a member of the Great Lakes Colleges Association and the Presidents' Athletic Conference , and it is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education .

Hace 2 días · MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny women's track and field team competed in their annual home meet, the Marty Goldberg Gator Invitational, Thursday (May 9). Laila Davis (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton) won the hammer throw with a career-best toss of 52.55 meters. That throw is currently the 21st best throw in Division III this season.
Courses offered include History of the United States to 1865, Colonial Latin America, A History of the Modern Middle East, 1839-present, The Greek World, 1184-323 BCE, and The Soviet Century, 1917-present. 200-level topical courses are also an option for entering students.
