The first two discs of All Sides of the Roxy mark the first official release of the star-studded final concert from May 23, 1978. At the time, this was the largest-ever FM concert simulcast in the U.S., beamed out to 24 radio stations with an estimated audience of over 10 million listeners.
1 Review. Siggyred Sep 03 2021. Superb material let down a bit by the sound. Fair few songs from the contemporaneous Hermit but also some Utopia songs, the best of which are from Initiation. Lots of guest appearances from the likes of Hall and Oates and Stevie Nicks.
In May 1978 Todd Rundgren performed a series of concerts at The Roxy Theater in West Hollywood, California with a band comprising members of The Hello People (Bobby Sedita, Larry Tasse, Greg Geddes & Norman Smart) along with keyboard player Moogy Klingman, bassist John Seigler and drummer John “Willie” Wilcox.
