Alexey Vyacheslavovich Brodovitch (also Brodovich; Belarusian: Аляксей Брадовіч, Russian: Алексе́й Вячесла́вович Бродо́вич; 1898 – April 15, 1971) was a Russian-American photographer, designer and instructor who is most famous for his art direction of fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar from 1934 to 1958. Alexey Brodovitch was a Russian-American photographer, designer, and teacher who revolutionized fashion photography and magazine publications in America. He taught and mentored many leading photographers, such as Robert Frank and Richard Avedon, and influenced the use of text and image in dual page layouts, color photography, and white space. He also photographed ballet performances and discovered the snapshot aesthetic.

After fighting in the Russian army in World War I, Brodovitch worked as a graphic designer in Paris from 1920 until 1930, when he moved to New York City.
