  1. Alan Longmuir (20 June 1948 – 2 July 2018) was a Scottish musician and a founding member of the pop group the Bay City Rollers. He played the bass guitar, whilst his younger brother Derek Longmuir was drummer.

He was a plumber from Edinburgh who formed the band with his brother in 1966 and left in 1976. He returned to play with them in 2015 and 2016. His family and friends mourned his passing on social media.
