Alan Edward Gorrie (born 19 July 1946 in Perth) is a Scottish bassist, guitarist, keyboardist and singer. He is a founding member of the Average White Band [1] and remains one of two original members in the group's current line-up (Onnie McIntyre being the other).
As of 2019, Alan Gorrie and Onnie McIntyre are the only two original members left in the Average White Band. Original tenor sax player Molly Duncan died on 8 October 2019, shortly after it had been announced that he had been diagnosed with terminal cancer.
