About Aku Orraca-Tetteh. Aku Orraca-Tetteh is a Dj, Producer and current Touring Member of Florence + The Machine.
Aku is a Multi-Instrumentalist, DJ, Producer, and a primary member of the band, Florence and the Machine. As a part of NYC nightlife, he spent 10 years honing his craft playing clubs all over downtown NYC liaising his talents from his band, Dragons of Zynth, into DJing events with a focus on the arts.
And that proverbial path to fame has been no different for Aku and Akwetey Orraca-Tetteh, 2002 graduates who went by the names James and John, respectively, during most of their time at Amherst. Aku and Akwetey took songwriting classes at Amherst and performed their music at venues around campus.
