Agnieszka Holland (Varsovia; 28 de noviembre de 1948) es una directora y guionista de cine y televisión polaca. Origen familiar. Nacida de una pareja de periodistas, su padre era judío y luchó junto al Ejército Rojo en la segunda guerra mundial, mientras que su madre era católica, razón por la que la hija fue criada en el catolicismo.

Agnieszka Holland (Polish: [aɡˈɲɛʂka ˈxɔlant]; born 28 November 1948) is a Polish film and television director and screenwriter, best known for her political contributions to Polish cinema. She began her career as an assistant to directors Krzysztof Zanussi and Andrzej Wajda , and emigrated to France shortly before the 1981 imposition of the martial law in Poland .
