Friedrich Adam von Trott zu Solz (9 August 1909 – 26 August 1944) was a German lawyer and diplomat who was involved in the conservative resistance to Nazism. A declared opponent of the Nazi regime from the beginning, he actively participated in the Kreisau Circle of Helmuth James Graf von Moltke and Peter Yorck von Wartenburg .
Adam von Trott zu Solz war von Beginn an ein Gegner des nationalsozialistischen Regimes und setzte sich spätestens seit 1939 nachweisbar für dessen Sturz ein. Er entwickelte darüber hinaus weitreichende Ideen für ein freies gemeinsames Europa in der Zukunft.
Adam von Trott Zu Solz was the son of a high official in the Prussian civil service. During 1932 - 33, he studied as a Rhodes scholar at Oxford. Later, he spent six months in the U.S. and fourteen months in China, but insisted on returning to Germany against the advice of friends that he emigrate.
