The remastered 10th anniversary edition of A Matter of Life… 2021 will be available digitally, on 12” vinyl and on CD from April 29, 2022. “it’s been really lovely to come back to these old friends — and with this re-issue we’ll be bringing them all out to play live again.

The late Simon Jeffes of the Penguin Café Orchestra understood this as did many of the minimalist composers who made their mark before him, like Philip Glass and Steve Reich.
4 de jun. de 2021 · The leader of one of the most unique and hard-to- categorize bands ever, Penguin Cafe Orchestra, was the multi-instrumentalist and composer Simon Jeffes, who died of brain tumor in 1997 at the age of 49. His son Arthur Jeffes founded Penguin Cafe around 2009 in order to honour his father's musical heritage.
