A Decade of Steely Dan is a compilation album by Steely Dan, released in 1985. It was the band's first compilation specifically for the compact disc market, and was certified a gold record by the RIAA. The album acts as a de facto singles package, including every Top 40 hit enjoyed by the band prior to its release with the exceptions of "Josie" from 1978 and "Time Out of Mind" from 1981.

All of that being said, the now out of print A Decade of Steely Dan should be considered a companion CD to either the compilations Gold or Gold: Extended Version, which will fill in much of the lacking material, with the song “Babylon Sisters” being the only track that is repeated on both albums … there are differing versions of the songs "Bodhisattva" and “FM” on each album.
He was 67-years-old. Fagen carried on with Steely Dan after Becker's passing, often calling the group "the Steely Dan Band." This new lineup was showcased on a pair of live albums released in September 2021: Northeast Corridor: Steely Dan Live and Donald Fagen's The Nightfly Live, both recorded between 2018 and 2019. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine.
