She also won an Oscar for playing the title role in Kitty Foyle (1940) and later starred in Roxie Hart (1942).
Pictured right is Ginger Rogers, a young star of about 21 who had only starred in a handful of feature films. Her most-recently released movie was the December 8, 1932 release of “You Said A Mouthful,” second-billed to Joe E. Brown. At least one other picture exists of the two from this evening, as the stars were photographed seated.
