Étienne Gilson (París, 13 de junio de 1884-Auxerre, 19 de septiembre de 1978) fue un filósofo e historiador de la filosofía francés, uno de los más destacados autores de la neoescolástica y especialista en santo Tomás de Aquino.

A scholar of medieval philosophy, he originally specialised in the thought of Descartes; he also philosophized in the tradition of Thomas Aquinas, although he did not consider himself a neo-Thomist philosopher.
