Her movie career began as a dancer in films like Dante's Inferno. Her two films with Fred Astaire show that she was a very good dancer and one of his best partners.

A terrific film with a first-rate cast, solid direction, and an involving story that holds one’s interest until the end, Only Angels Have Wings is once again available in high definition now on Criterion. It is a must-see for lovers of classic cinema and comes heartily recommended.

Overall Rating: 4/5. If it’s just the movie you want, this Mill Creek Blu-ray release of The Lady from Shanghai offers sterling picture and sound quality for a very small price.
