My monograph, Popular Music, Digital Technology and Society was published in 2018 (Sage) and aims to move social science-based scholarship on pop music into contemporary territories shaped by globalised, digitalised, networked relations.
I am currently first supervisor for 5 PhD students, second supervisor for 6 students. I have been appointed external examiner for four PhDs (at the University of York, the Open University, University of Exeter and Griffith University, Australia) and internal examiner for five PhDs at the University of Edinburgh.
