2 de oct. de 2023 · Either/or and neither/nor explained. Either and neither can be used in various ways. They can be used as adverbs, adjectives, determiners, pronouns, or correlative conjunctions. For example: “Do either of you speak Spanish?” In this sentence, either is a pronoun. “ Neither shirt fits me properly. ”
Ejemplos con either: You don’t work very hard and he doesn’t either. (Tú no trabajas muy duro y él tampoco) She does not like to sit in the sun and we don’t either. (A ella no le gusta sentarse en el sol y a nosotros tampoco) He does not teach mathematics and she doesn’t either. (Él no enseña matemáticas y ella tampoco)

En función de pronombre. Cuando utilicemos “ either ” o “ neither ” como pronombre, se traducen como “o”/“ni” (ver los ejemplos anteriores), “cualquier”/“ninguno” o como “también”. En inglés, cuando se usan como pronombres van seguidos por la preposición “ of ” más un sustantivo. Ejemplos: Neither of the students studied very hard.
