Ben Shattuck (born 1984) is an American writer, painter, and curator. Born in Massachusetts, he received a bachelor's degree from Cornell University and a master's degree from the Iowa Writers' Workshop. He has written one book and a number of short stories. Shattuck is also a painter.
Ben Shattuck (b. 1984) is a graduate Cornell University’s College of Architecture, Art, and Planning, and of University of Iowa’s Iowa Writers’ Workshop. He lived and studied painting with Odd Nerdrum in southern Norway.

2 de may. de 2022 · The visual artist Ben Shattuck didn’t set out at first to write a book about retracing some of Henry David Thoreau’s most famous journeys across New England, as detailed in texts like Cape Cod, A Walk to Wachusett, and The Maine Woods.
The six paintings also included in the show are in conversation with Thoreau’s writing, drawing on moments and descriptions in his journals. About the Artist. Ben Shattuck, a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, is a recipient of a PEN America Story Prize and a 2019 Pushcart Prize.
